Membership is open upon application and payment of the annual programs / equipment fee.
($20 per calendar year). 

Membership in The Enrichment Center is also required, which allows the Center to make the meeting space available to the club.
($15 per 12 months).

Club Constitution and By Laws

ARTICLE 1 NAME: The name of this organization shall be SPRING HILL CAMERA CLUB.

ARTICLE II AIM: The purpose of this club shall be to share knowledge and enjoyment of photography, and to provide an opportunity for members to improve their skills.

ARTICLE III MEMBERSHIP: Any person interested in photography may become a member of the club as provided for in the Bylaws.

ARTICLE IV OFFICERS; The officers of this club shall consist of the following: President, Vice President, and Treasurer.

ARTICLE V MEETINGS: The Club year will be conducted on a calendar year, January through December. Membership meetings shall be held twice each month, January through November. A single meeting will be held after the final competition of the year. This meeting will be held in January of the next year prior to the first meeting of the year and will serve as the Annual Awards Banquet.

ARTICLE VI AMENDMENTS: - Amendments to this Constitution, proposed at any meeting will be publicized at the next meeting and voted upon at the following meeting. A vote of approval by at least two-thirds of the members present at the meeting is required for acceptance.

ARTICLE VII BYLAWS: Bylaws for the transaction of club business may be adopted, revoked or amended at any time by a vote of approval by at least two-thirds of members present at the meeting.

ARTICLE 1 EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE

Section 1. The Executive Committee shall consist of the elected officers, members-at-large as needed, and the immediate past-President who shall serve until succeeded by a new retiring President.

Section 2. The Executive Committee shall have the power to transact the club’s business in accordance with the Constitution and Bylaws.

Section 3. The Executive Committee shall meet at the discretion of the President.

Section 4. The President may be a member ex-officio of all committees.

ARTICLE II ELECTIONS

1. There will be no term limits for any officer of the club. However every officer must stand for election each year.

2. At least one month prior to the election of officers, the President shall appoint a nominating committee which shall consider nominations for officers of the club for the next term of office and approach all proposed nominees as to their willingness to serve. These nominees will be presented at the first meeting in November.

3. Nominations and the electiontake place at the first meeting in November. Additional nominations by the membership-at-large will be accepted from the floor prior to the election, which will be decided by majority vote of the members present.

4.The new slate of officers shall assume their duties at the first meeting in January.

ARTICLE III DUTIES OF OFFICERS

1. The President shall preside at all regular and special meetings of the club and serve as chairperson of the Executive Committee. The President shall administer the affairs of the club and appoint chairpersons to all committees from the current membership.

2. The Vice-President shall assume the duties of the President in the President’s absence and shall keep minutes of all voting in the club.

3. The Treasurer shall keep an up-to-date record of members, and be custodian of all monies of the club. The Treasurer shall keep a detailed account of all receipts and disbursements. The Treasurer shall pay all club bills in a manner described in Article IV of these Bylaws.

ARTICLE IV DISBURSEMENT OF FUNDS

1. All disbursements on behalf of the club shall be by check, signed by the Treasurer or the President.

2. Expenditures:

   A) up to $75 may be made at the discretion of the Treasurer.

   B) over $75, but not in excess of $150, shall only be made after approval of the Executive Committee

  C) Amounts in excessa of $150 must be approved by a majority vote of the members in attendance at an official club meeting.
